Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, I am a Southern transplant living in NYC since 2006. Growing up, my mother could normally be found in the kitchen, cooking or baking a delicious new dish and I am fortunate that she passed down her curiosity and energy in the kitchen to me. After I started getting requests for the recipes I would use in my cooking, I decided to start a blog to share with everyone the yummy Southern recipes passed down from my family and those that I have created and adapted over the years. I hope you enjoy my recipes and also my musings on Southern life in the Big Apple!
